Detour

It has been forever since I have posted.  I'm just working
my way into a new routine and trying to maximize my time.
(translation: not napping too much)

I have finally recovered from quilt retreat.  We sewed,
and ate, and shopped, slept and then
did it all again.

Here we are posing for a shot before our meal came.

There are about a hundred quilt blocks in this
bag, most of which were sewn at the retreat.

This granny square top is ready for basting, then
quilting.

This fabric is for a table topper.

All of this quilting stuff is fun, but
last summer I bought a pattern for a
tunic top.  I made a muslin to see how it fit, and then
opted to make it a size bigger.
It was all cut out and in with my UFO's so
I decided to finish it.

I think it will be OK.  I picked this fabric up and JoAnn's
on sale and actually like it on me.
If it turns out, I have fabric to make more.

I should finish it today.
I'm hoping to find a way to make it so
I don't have to wear a cami under it.  It is open
halfway down the front.
Maybe little ties?
buttons with loops so I wouldn't have to make
button holes?
I like the idea of tiny little buttons and maybe making
it a scoop neck.
stay tuned........
