The circus is coming to town

How do you like this fabric?

I hope you like it a lot cuz I have yards of it and you will see
it in every post till it's all used up.  Isn't it nice to have something to look forward to??

I love it with the green dots.

I tried to applique one of the green dots on an elephant's trunk,
so he would look like he was balancing a ball, but it didn't
work out.  I thought about using a button, but, I have never seen an
elephant balancing a button on his trunk.
There's always a first time.

I seem to have fallen in love with all things animal.

and all things dots.

I talk to the animals whilst I sew.
(that's how the foreign bloggers would say it,
"whilst".)

You will have to excuse my humor, today, I have an
awful cold and the medical professional I saw at doc-in-a-box
told me to suck it up and drink tea with honey and eat chicken soup.

Tea time, so far, has been at 4:00 a.m. and, yesterday, I
had chicken soup for breakfast, but, I need to call the Progresso people
and l let them know I still can't get fit into my
blue jeans.

(CAN YOU PUT A WOMAN ON THE PHONE???????????!!!!!!!!)

Hey, look, I'm using my elephant scrap bag for my used tissues.
(I told you you would be seeing
a lot of this fabric.)
Tea cup on the left, coffee cup in the right.  If I have
my way, by the end of the day, this table will also display
an empty pretzel m&m bag, and a half
full bag of Frito's.
(half full?)

Onto the NYBQAL.

This block is looking pretty good, right?

Wrong!
I messed up a seam and forgot and folded and pressed it and
kept on adding to it. When I pulled the paper off,
I had a huge fold and a half seam I should have ripped out eons back.
No seam where the fold was.

So, there is no point, which is the whole point of paper piecing.

But, I'm showing you this because I took the process pledge which means I show the
good and the not so good.  I'm not going to
show you the elephants that could not walk a straight line, though.
They are in purgatory whilst (there's that word, again)
I decide their fate.

The whole problem is the new (wonder) machine.  It keeps taking off without me.
It has all these fancy buttons to sew, sew slow, stop sewing, tie a knot, and cut the thread.
I'm trying to use the buttons, (all at the same time) instead of the foot peddle,
but then it either takes off like a bat out of hell,
or cuts the thread in the middle of a seam.
The guy at the sewing machine store thought this was hysterical
when I told him.

IS THERE A WOMAN THERE I CAN TALK TO???????????

what's new?

Well, I'm gearing up for the New York Beauty quilt along which started yesterday.  I made my practice block into a pillow.

I pretty much just sit on the sofa and admire it.
This shot was taken before it was
covered in dog hair.  Barney and Daisy love
to add a little to everything I do.

I have picked out fabric for the project (at least for the start).  I'm tying to expand from
the primitive fabrics to the brighter, fresher,
modern fabrics.
As you can see, I'm struggling.

I'm sure I will add/subtract.  I always do.
LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's this black box in the PeacedGoods studio???

Here is a hint.

OK, here she is.

My new BFF (or is that BBF?) I really think I am going to love her once I
get her figured out. I had a
four hour class yesterday on how to use her and have
three more classes to go.

I sold all the small project bags I had on Etsy, so now I
feel like a working girl, again.
I only need to sell about 220 more bags and the
 machine will be paid for.

Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!
